Sber Private Banking clients will now be able to invest more effectively thanks to up-to-date analytics of the Bank of Russia's press releases. They will be assisted by a tracker on the SBERMPCI monetary policy cycle index, created on the basis of artificial intelligence.

The AI-based model works as follows. After each meeting of the Bank of Russia on the key rate, the regulator issues a press release with comments on monetary policy. The text of this document is analyzed using a model that assesses the rigidity of the Bank of Russia's rhetoric, after which the type of investment instruments in the debt market that is effective for this rhetoric is determined. At the same time, the rebalancing of instruments occurs automatically without the client's participation.

VTB is launching a cluster for the development of artificial intelligence

VTB is launching its own cluster for the development of artificial intelligence technologies — "Digital Assistant".

The cluster being created will focus on the development of VTB's digital assistants. These are services based on large language model technologies and recommendation systems for solving personalized requests from employees and clients. The cluster will also conduct research in the field of deep language models, with which the development of digital assistants is closely related. With their help, these digital services not only generate the most relevant answers and solutions, but also allow predicting the desires of users, noted a top manager at VTB.

"The implementation of the "Digital Assistant" program is one of the key areas in the bank's technological strategy for the next few years. The creation of the cluster should contribute to the synergy of all technologies, competencies and teams in the field of AI technologies available in the bank. We will strive to ensure that in the next three years each of our clients uses at least one VTB digital assistant. We also expect that the provision of banking services by our employees will be carried out with the help of AI assistants," Kulik emphasized.

Large language models are able to take the provision of banking services to a qualitatively new level — increase the speed of task execution, and achieve greater efficiency in the decisions made by bank employees. And the use of recommendation systems will ensure the best understanding of the client's needs. The combination of these two elements will be the key to the most effective work, Kulik added.

According to a VTB study, 73% of users are ready to transfer the management of their finances to AI. These results confirm the strategic importance of developing the Digital Assistant direction.
