FERRUM IT Group и iRU оборудовали серверами 1 500 магазинов для одной из крупнейших торговых сетей

Under the annual contract, the integrator must equip 5,000 retail outlets. The server equipment is used by the retailer to build cash register systems.

The solution was chosen based on the criterion of maximum stability. The deliveries use universal iRU servers, assembled specifically for the customer based on the iRU Rock W9104E model. These servers solve a wide range of tasks and are characterized by reliability, compactness, and advanced remote administration functionality.

During the solution selection phase, the customer formulated requirements for fault tolerance, providing forecast indicators for damage in the event of a possible downtime. In the event of a system failure, the retail chain estimated potential costs at 1 million rubles per day per cash register.

As part of the project, iRU Rock W9104E servers are also used for automated processing of data on completed purchases coming from cash registers, using a CRM system.

The deployment phase was preceded by the integrator setting up the remote server operation function. According to the customer's wishes, remote power on, power off, restart, and BIOS update capabilities were implemented. A separate amount of work was devoted to ensuring information security.

Work on the project was carried out in close cooperation between the IT teams of the customer and the manufacturer. As part of the testing, the manufacturer made improvements to the product, taking into account the voiced wishes.

Alexander Kadantsev, Head of Sales at FERRUM IT Group:

«The customer approached us with the task of finding a reliable solution that would replace the equipment of A-class vendors. iRU is the manufacturer that offers high-quality solutions and provides service support throughout Russia. This is of paramount importance for large retail chains with a distributed structure throughout Russia».
