На Камчатке завершился федеральный проект для женщин-лидеров Севера и Дальнего Востока

The project "Woman is a Leader. North and Far East" concluded in Kamchatka. More than 100 participants from 20 teams, representing all subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District and the Northwestern Federal District, defended social projects developed during a four-month educational program.

«It is a great honor for us that the brightest women leaders from the regions of the Far East and the Arctic worked in Kamchatka these days, nourished us with their energy and were nourished by the energy of the peninsula. Of course, for women leaders from Kamchatka, participating in such a project is a special chance. For us, as a remote and hard-to-reach region, it is important to be included in federal projects. They allow us to feel that Kamchatka and the Far East are in the spotlight. And, of course, the topic of women's leadership is especially important, because today it is women's qualities that are becoming more and more effective, and we are seeing an increase in the number of women leaders in various fields. In Kamchatka, almost half of the deputy chairmen of the government are women, and we are not going to stop there,» said Vladimir Solodov, Governor of the Kamchatka Territory.

The project brought together participants from all regions of the Far East and the Arctic. The presented initiatives cover a wide range of social issues and are aimed at the development of territories.

«This is the first educational program for women leaders of the Far East and the North, it brought together 18 regions of the Far Eastern Federal District and the Arctic. As part of the project, women not only studied, but also, uniting in groups, worked on socially significant projects of the macro-region. We listened to the results of the teams' project work at the final module in Kamchatka. All the tasks solved by women within the framework of the program are relevant, and they can be implemented by the participants within the framework of their current activities. I hope that the graduates of the module will become an inspiring example for other women in the Far East and the Arctic, and that they will be able to implement the planned social projects. Personally, several of them resonated with me especially – about the Olympiad movement for schoolchildren, as a former Olympiad participant; the second is about the training of state and municipal employees, as the curator of the "Muravyov-Amursky" project in the ministry. I will help these projects in further implementation,» said Elvira Nurgalieva, Deputy Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic.

The participants prepared projects in various fields, including ecology, healthy lifestyle, education, employment and career guidance, volunteerism, and tourism development.

«In all the initiatives presented today by our dear participants, one can feel not only professionalism, but a powerful creative impulse, concern for people's problems, and immersion in their real needs. The participants prepared socially significant projects in the field of ecology, support for the healthy lifestyle agenda, education, employment and career guidance, volunteerism, and tourism development. It is important that they are all very real, their implementation does not require serious costs, while they are able to improve the quality of people's lives,» – shared her opinion on the results of the presentation of social initiatives by the participants, Acting Rector of Kamchatka State University named after Vitus Bering, Olga Rebkovets.

One of the project participants, Nadezhda Vlasenko from the Khabarovsk Territory, spoke about the team initiative: «Our team includes participants from four regions – Chukotka, Sakhalin Region, the Republics of Buryatia and Sakha (Yakutia). In the program, we created a team social project called "Master Class from Grandma". As part of this initiative, we plan to organize useful meetings for our wonderful grandmothers who have retired with children. This is how we decided to support older people, whose activity decreases sharply at a certain age, to remind them that we really need them. We plan to root this project in the regions, the distinctive feature of these master classes is that they will purposefully remind children of traditional Russian values. Experienced craftswomen will introduce children to the peculiarities of the culture, life and indigenous peoples living in these regions. Our project has already been very successfully implemented in the Sakhalin Region as part of the regional festival. A Korean grandmother was preparing a national dish, and it was a complete delight for all participants. So – the test drive has been passed».

The "Woman is a Leader" project is implemented by the Senezh Management Workshop of the presidential platform "Russia is a country of opportunities". The initiative is aimed at preparing participants to boldly and effectively respond to social challenges in the Arctic and the Far East.

It should be noted that within the framework of the final module in Kamchatka, the participants not only presented their projects, but also completed an educational program on the development of competencies in the field of team leadership. In addition, they made a practical contribution to the greening of the region, planting about 25 seedlings of Erman's stone birch in the Yelizovsky district of Kamchatka.
