The new version 6.5.4 features an improved web interface, increased stability in large installations, and enhanced information security.
Key changes include an update to the web interface, encompassing the "Contacts," "Mail," and "Settings" sections. Users can now edit quoted text in emails, configure auto-replies, and import contacts into empty folders. An option has been added to mark an email as deleted first, rather than immediately deleting it from the trash.
Calendars now open faster, and a number of improvements have been implemented to enhance stability and speed in large installations. The auto-responder supports HTML tags for notification formatting, and the handling of large attachments has been optimized. The universal MAPI connector, designed for use with the Microsoft Outlook desktop client, has been updated.
The new release includes fixes for over 50 issues of varying criticality, including the elimination of server crashes when working with delegated folders and calendars, correct handling of recurring events, forwarding, and automatic confirmations of participation without losing attachments. Errors affecting the correctness of server-side mail rules for all domains have been fixed.
A separate set of changes concerns information security and access control to corporate mail. Passwords are now completely hidden in system logs, and the authorization procedure is strengthened by changing the order of checks. When user sessions are forcibly terminated, active sessions of those who have been delegated access to the mailbox are simultaneously interrupted. The Pronto, WEBADMIN, and command-line interfaces now allow viewing active WebAuth sessions, which increases transparency and control over user activity. The improvements are aimed at increasing the functionality and usability of the platform.
