F6 specialists (formerly F.A.C.C.T., and Group-IB in Russia) have registered a new wave of fraudulent attacks on domain name owners whose registration period is coming to an end. The attackers send emails on behalf of the registrar about the need to pay for services and a link to pay through a popular payment system.

The aim of the attacks was to infect devices with malicious software for cryptocurrency mining.

The deal has been completed, resulting in the creation of the F6 brand - a new cybersecurity company formed on the basis of F.A.C.C.T.'s technologies and expertise. The new player in the market, created with the support of the "Cyberus" fund, will focus on developing advanced technologies and services to combat cybercrime, prevent attacks, and investigate information security incidents in Russia and abroad.
