Update 5.4.3 simplifies working with a large fleet of devices on Android and Aurora OS, and also supports infrastructures with Kubernetes and S3-compatible storage.
The company "Open Mobile Platform" has updated the unified corporate device management platform based on various OS "Aurora Center".
The new version of "Aurora Center" 5.4.3 implements changes in the "kiosk" mode, geolocation, and password management. The platform can now check whether the file storage on the device is encrypted and, if necessary, remotely enable encryption. In kiosk mode, the input field for the exit code from the mode now masks the entered characters, which eliminates the possibility of visual interception of the code by unauthorized persons.
Added the ability to manage the geolocation mode on an Android OS device via an operational command. Geolocation can be turned off or on with high accuracy when specifying the validity interval. Implemented the ability to apply an offline scenario for the event "No connection to the Management Platform" for devices with Android OS. A filter "By connection date" has also been added to the device list and in the "Devices" section in the device group card.
A new policy has appeared for the mass transfer of devices from "Administrator" mode to "User" mode. "Aurora Center" will create a new user if necessary and reboot the devices in an acceptable interval for the employee so that they can continue to use the device, but without unnecessary rights on the device.
"Aurora Center" now supports working with S3-compatible storage as an alternative to the file system and storing maps used in the platform. Docker images of "Aurora Center" services are generated from the distribution for deployment in a Kubernetes cluster, which simplifies scaling and updates in large installations.
The new version of "Aurora Center" 5.4.3 is now available to customers and is recommended for pilot and industrial implementation.
