The Ministry of Industry and Trade has prepared amendments to the rules for maintaining the register of Russian industrial products. Manufacturers will be required to report on manufactured and sold products, otherwise records of them will be excluded from the register.
The draft decree introduces changes to Government Decree No. 719 of July 17, 2015 ("On confirming the origin of Russian products"). Currently, applicants, through their personal account in the state information system of industry, annually submit information to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia by April 1 on the produced and shipped products for which a register entry has been formed. According to the draft decree, it is planned to exclude the manufacturer's goods from the register of industrial products if it has not provided the Ministry of Industry and Trade with information on the quantity of produced and shipped products within 90 days. The decree, if adopted, will come into force on May 1, 2025.
"The register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade should serve as a clear navigator for customers who analyze market offers," — notes Grigory Sizonenko, CEO of JSC "IVK". — Therefore, it should not contain "dead souls" that will disorient organizations and take time to consider knowingly non-optimal offers."
