Technology Quadrant: "Basis" Confirmed as Absolute Leader in Server Virtualization Market

The analytical agency "Quadrant Technologies" has published a matrix of import substitution for server virtualization tools. "Basis" took the top position in the leadership quadrant. The vendor showed the best results in key areas: technological readiness of solutions for industrial operation and economic sustainability of the business.

Analysts surveyed 107 representatives of large businesses with an annual turnover of over two billion rubles. Respondents evaluated the systems according to more than 15 parameters of practical suitability for industrial operation. "Basis" technologies received 8.0 points for core architecture maturity, 8.0 for working in hybrid environments, and 8.0 for integration with networks, storage systems, and backup. Additionally, the solution scored 7.5 points for the completeness of basic functionality, 7.6 for predictability of behavior in typical scenarios, and 7.4 each for updatability and error resistance. The final quality score was 7.5 points - the maximum result among all participants.

Customers' approach to infrastructure selection has changed. The corporate sector has completed the stage of forced software purchases to comply with regulatory requirements and has moved to long-term IT architecture planning. The demand for fault-tolerant solutions has significantly intensified competition: the leadership segment of the study has expanded from three to seven vendors. Against the background of high market density, "Basis" has maintained its leading role.

In 2025, the vendor's total revenue reached 6.3 billion rubles. Experts assessed the manageability of the "Basis" commercial model at 8 points. In practice, this gives the customer a predictable cost of ownership: infrastructure costs are consistently forecasted, the staff does not require searching for rare, highly specialized specialists, and additional licensing costs are minimized.
