Digitalization in construction: what solutions will be in demand in the near future

Rapid digitalization affects more and more industries - the construction sector is no exception. On April 21-22, 2026, Moscow will host the Hi‑Tech Building exhibition forum: market participants will discuss current business challenges, share real cases and assess the prospects of new technologies. Let's analyze the key sessions and their applied value for companies.

The Digital Housing Forum will be held on April 21 (co-organized by ANO "Smart MCD", moderator - Nikita Utkin). The focus is on issues that directly affect operational efficiency and long-term business plans:

  • the concept of digitalization of apartment buildings (MCD) and a plan for its implementation: what steps will reduce costs and improve the quality of services;
  • a system of classes of "smart" MCDs: how will the classification affect the demand and investment attractiveness of projects;
  • the role of AI and IoT in housing operation: cases on automating routine processes and reducing accidents.

Among the participants are representatives of CleverHome, iRidi, "Smart Home with Alice" (Yandex), SberCity, PJSC "MTS" and others.

The panel discussion "From a digital model to a digital building: challenges, solutions, prospects" (moderator - Irina Kuzma, NOSTROY coordinator for the Far Eastern Federal District) will focus on tools that are already changing construction practice:

  • BIM‑technologies: how 3D‑modeling reduces approval times and minimizes errors at the design stage;
  • digital platforms for quality control: transparency of interaction between contractors and customers;
  • information security: protecting the data of residents and developers as a factor of trust and competitive advantage.

Speakers: EKS Group, Dogma, NOSTROY, MR Group. The co-organizer of the discussion is the "Construction Newspaper".

Battle of technologies: wired solutions versus wireless! Experts from Yandex, "Arlight Rus", "SoftMaster", KNX24, SberDevices will analyze a real case: they will be tasked with designing a system for an apartment, taking into account the requirements for heating, air conditioning, lighting, security and cybersecurity.

The format does not involve searching for a "winner", but analyzing the profitability of solutions for the installation business:

  • cost of implementation and maintenance;
  • reliability in Russian realities;
  • convenience for end users and service teams.

Analysis of a real project will allow us to assess not only technical parameters, but also the economic feasibility of solutions: payback period, maintenance costs, risks during scaling.

On April 22, the "Smart Home" conference will begin with the plenary session "Trends in home automation in 2026". Experts will discuss:

  • legislative initiatives and standards: how the regulatory framework will affect the range and pricing;
  • AI as part of the ecosystem: examples of integrating voice assistants and predictive analytics for housing and communal services;
  • barriers to entry into the market: what prevents the scaling of successful local projects.

Among the speakers are Maria Dzhushkhinova (Gosuslugi Dom), Yuri Khakhanov (Skolkovo Foundation), Svetlana Perminova (Unicorn), Anna Khomitskaya (Anna Khomitskaya Design Bureau), Alexander Gontarenko (Smart Building with Alice, Yandex), Vadim Sevryukov (PIK‑Comfort).

Companies (Embedded Systems Rus, TANTRON, KNX24, "3R", Interra, ONOKOM, GVS and others) will present new products, compare the functionality of Russian and foreign solutions, and share cases of complex installations. The focus is on market entry strategies:

  • how to enter a new segment without losing marginality;
  • which niches remain unfilled;
  • how to adapt foreign practices to local demand.

The round table "Business models of the installer today and tomorrow: transformation opportunities" will bring together experts with experience in implementing hundreds of projects (Alexander Romanov, iRidi; Artem Tseplyaev, HDL Automation; Vladislav Badaev, Senior Business Development Manager B2B "Smart Building with Alice", Yandex). Experts will offer development strategies:

  • evolution of demand: from one-time installations to comprehensive maintenance;
  • the price of entering the business: initial investments and payback;
  • scaling: how to turn an operational project into an investment-attractive asset.

As part of the exhibition, visitors will be able to:

  • explore solutions for home automation from 3R, Akubela, Arlight, ATREL, BST, CLEVERHOME and other manufacturers;
  • evaluate the projects‑finalists of the Hi‑Tech Building Awards 2026 — awards for the best implemented cases for equipping smart apartments, houses and residential complexes.

The Hi‑Tech Building exhibition forum will be held on April 21–22, 2026 in Moscow, in Loft Hall 3 (26s15 Leninskaya Sloboda str.). Registration is free, by appointment on the website.

The event is organized by "Midexpo", partners are Arlight, Wildberries, ANO "Smart MCD", CleverHome, the Russian Guild of Managers and Developers, KNX User Club Russia, REPA and NOSTROY. IXBT is an information partner of the event.
