Russian information security solution developer UserGate has opened a research laboratory at MIREA — Russian Technological University. The laboratory will be able to train more than 200 students annually.

UserGate equipped the laboratory with modern equipment and software solutions, and also provided the university with licenses for original software and access to the new UserGate Academy course. According to Dmitry Kurashev, director and co-founder of the company, the company considers such investments as strategic investments in the future talent pool.

Rector of MIREA Stanislav Kudzh emphasized that cooperation with UserGate allows the university not only to gain access to educational content developed by leading experts in the field of information security, but also to give students practical skills. Graduates of RTU MIREA are ready immediately after graduation to solve practical problems related to ensuring the security of information systems.

The UserGate laboratory at MIREA has become the sixth site for training personnel in the field of cybersecurity. Similar laboratories are already operating in other leading universities of the country. The company plans to continue its activities to open specialized laboratories.
