Yandex Opens YaOS App Catalog for Developers on Home Devices with Screens

The number of unique devices using the YaOS platform exceeds 5 million per month.

Yandex has announced the expansion of the YaOS operating system capabilities, providing developers with access to the application catalog for devices with screens. Now, developers can publish their applications not only for Yandex TVs, modules, and TV-connected speakers, but also for "Station Duo Max".

Opening the application catalog to all developers will allow them to create applications for users of Yandex devices, including devices with a touch interface. Applications will appear in the catalog after moderation with verification through the "Gosuslugi" portal in "Yandex ID" accounts for individuals and legal entities. The main use cases for applications include content viewing and entertainment.

As a reminder, YaOS is an operating system for smart devices from Yandex, providing access to the company's services and other applications. It allows you to watch movies, listen to music, and use the "Alice" voice assistant.
