В России представили первый мультиспектральный сканер со встроенным ИИ

All processes – reading, analysis, and document authentication – are performed directly inside the device, without transmitting the image to an external computer.

The scanner created by Smart Engines and "Intek" combines an optical module and a built-in computing unit – a full-fledged computer that performs the AI algorithms necessary for making decisions about authenticity. Smart Engines explained:

If previously the image was transmitted to a laptop or workstation for analysis, now the entire process takes place locally. The scanner does not require complex integration and is compatible with a wide range of computing platforms, including solutions based on domestic operating systems.

The scanner solves two tasks simultaneously – extracts the contents of documents and enters data into the corresponding fields, and also performs authentication. The built-in AI checks the document in three ranges (optical, ultraviolet, and infrared), and also detects more than 80 signs of forgery.

The system analyzes the originality and security features of the document form (protective fluorescent fibers, fluorescent inks, etc.), detects mechanical interference in the document itself, including photo re-gluing and other data manipulations. In addition, the AI also performs cross-validation of the main spread data with the data of the machine-readable zone (MRZ), checks the chip and the validity of the document.

The module allows you to check not only the authenticity of Russian documents, but also the passports of foreigners from all countries of the world and national identity cards of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan.
