Astra Group and the scientific and educational company QRate announced the creation of a pilot hardware and software complex Astra Cloud with the QRate Chaos quantum random number generator.
QRate Chaos is available as part of the Astra Cloud PAK via a web interface and a CLI application that is deployed in a tenant (user account area). One generator can securely work for several such areas and clusters at once. The service provides the requested amount of random data in a convenient format, and user data is exchanged with the QRNG via secure channels.
Currently, Astra Cloud with QRNG is a pilot solution and is available for demonstration and test implementation. Vendors continue to develop it, focusing on market needs in the field of confidential computing, generative AI, information security and load distribution optimization.
Astra Group said:
This is the first solution of this class in the country: users get access to truly random numbers as a service on the Astra Cloud platform in a matter of minutes. The MVP implementation was first presented at CIPR 2025, and the integration was awarded the "Cyber Enlightenment" award in the nomination "Cloud without Storms - for the active introduction of innovation in the protection of cloud services".
