UserGate, a leading Russian developer of cybersecurity solutions, is expanding its vision of its own UserGate SUMMA information security ecosystem — now it combines not only products and technologies, but also educational projects, as well as cybersecurity services and services.
Thanks to this approach, the vendor will be able to ensure comprehensive cybersecurity, which includes not only infrastructure or software solutions, but also advanced expertise, service support and training. This was announced by UserGate representatives on April 17 at a press conference at the Hyatt Regency Moscow Petrovsky Park Congress Center in anticipation of the launch of UserGate Open Conf – a major industry event dedicated to addressing issues in the field of information security.
The strategy for further development is based on UserGate understanding of the vendor's customers' needs. To get as complete a picture as possible of market expectations was helped by a study conducted by UserGate in early 2025. It showed that the growing number of threats and requirements for information security is in the top 3 challenges in the IT field for most UserGate clients in the public and commercial sectors.
"The creation of UserGate's own product analytics department has become another important step for the company to for an in-depth study of customer needs. Analyzing the current situation of the market and, especially, the prospects for its development, we conclude that IT security — one of the main drivers of digital transformation in Russia. UserGate invests significant resources in the development of the IT and cybersecurity sector, helping companies to systematically transform existing problems into growth opportunities, creating an effective set of protective measures for each specific request," — commented Yulia Kosova, Head of Product Analytics at UserGate.
"36% – a third of respondents in the study noted that there are not enough existing cybersecurity solutions in the modern Russian market and they do not cover all current needs for protection in a constantly changing cyber threat landscape. In this regard, UserGate, analyzing market needs, takes verified steps to meet customers. This is how the updated approach to the UserGate SUMMA concept appeared, which is not only a set of cybersecurity components, but also synergy between products," says Ivan Chernov, Product Strategy Manager UserGate.
According to a UserGate study, current customer satisfaction with protection remains above average, but customers expect quality technical support from the vendor as well. At the same time, the level of service support for them is often more of a priority than the characteristics of technical solutions, for example, their multifunctionality.

The number of technical specialists has approximately tripled over the past two years. On average, 20% of applications are now resolved at the application stage.
At the same time, UserGate's customer focus is manifested not only in the constant improvement of the level of technical support. An important component of the expanding ecosystem is the continuous development of products for information security.
"UserGate is a company that unites visionary experts in the field of information security," says Alexander Kistanov, Product Director at UserGate. According to him, the expansion of the UserGate SUMMA ecosystem continues in the product perimeter".

The UserGate Academy as part of the UserGate SUMMA ecosystem develops a security culture in the Russian IT landscape.
The UserGate Monitoring and Response Center, one of the main areas in the updated concept of the expanding UserGate SUMMA ecosystem, will focus on creating a proactive service model for ensuring customer information security under the new name UserGate Factor.
«UserGate's experience as a cybersecurity vendor in the field of product development in the context of solving specific customer tasks for protecting corporate infrastructure is an important part of the expertise that is implemented and scaled by the product department. However, we decided to go further and pay more attention to studying the global cyber threat landscape, protecting against complex targeted attacks, for the detection of which requires serious and well-structured analytical work. – says Dmitry Kuzevanov, Director of Information Security, Head of the UserGate Monitoring and Response Center. – Over the past year, we have significantly expanded the activities of our center, included new areas and competencies in its composition, provide full-fledged audit and consulting services, provide expert assistance in incident investigations, and provide a service based on the SOC-as-a-Service cloud model».
