EvaTeam has introduced a major platform update — release 2.28 "Novosibirsk." This update takes the work with EvaProject, EvaWiki, and EvaServiceDesk products to a new level of convenience and reliability, offering customers tools for project management and secure information storage.
In EvaProject, the controls and attribute widgets in the task form have become more convenient and pleasant to use. For developers, the widgets based on the Taiga UI library – an Angular library – have been updated. This has ensured fast rendering, customization, and a uniform UX throughout the system.
Now, encryption of any task is available to hide confidential information. Encryption is performed on the browser side before being sent to the server. Confidential data, description, result, attachments, and comments on the task, after encryption, will be unavailable for viewing until the set password is entered.
The EvaTeam team has made the calendar (similar to Tempo Timesheets) more accessible. The built-in calendar in the main menu allows you to always have tasks with deadlines at hand, simplifying planning.
EvaProject now offers the calculation of the project's critical path and visual display on the Gantt chart, allowing you to control key tasks and project stages. The system will analyze all deadlines and dependencies for tasks and calculate the project's critical path, which can be tracked on the Gantt chart.
The ability to directly edit the dates and durations of tasks on the graphical part of the Gantt chart has been added, speeding up the replanning process.
Indication of completed tasks, tasks with violated deadlines and restrictions has been added, which allows you to track their changes in a timely manner without going to the task form.
Synchronization with LDAP is now many times faster, with fewer delays and more reliability.
Repositories are updated faster and more stable, and you can also start synchronization manually at the right time and check the current synchronization status in a couple of clicks.
The file storage system has been updated to reduce the amount of disk space occupied while maintaining full availability and ease of use of files.

Now, any document can encrypt information and all files attached to the document, decryption is performed using a set password. Your data will be securely encrypted on the browser side even before being transmitted to the server — no leaks or interceptions are terrible. It is ideal for working with confidential materials — be it legal contracts, financial reports, or corporate research.
Meet the updated HomePage in EvaWiki for quick access to important information. With HomePage, you can customize the navigation of the main sections of the project and connect widgets and macros.
EvaServiceDesk
When a client enters a request title, the system uses smart search to select articles that are suitable in meaning and that can solve the client's problem, which reduces the number of requests to the support service.
It is now also possible to link typical requests to specific articles by using the function of adding key phrases to articles. If they appear in the title entered by the client, the system will show such articles as a priority.
Agents see articles that are suitable in meaning in the task in a separate "Recommended Articles" block. Unlike clients, the agent has access to the entire list of found articles. The articles in this block are external and available to clients, so links can be copied and sent directly in response to the client.
You can now choose how ServiceDesk clients receive attachments in email notifications, via a link to the portal, or as a file in the body of the email. This will allow customers to download attached files from the email without having to go to the portal.
