In GitFlic 4.0.0, you can easily control development environments, quickly find the necessary information in a project, and manage various deployment configurations of user code at each stage of the software lifecycle. The new functionality supports the consistency and repeatability of deployments, and tracks where which version is used.

One of the most interesting and sought-after innovations is a tool for searching code by fragments, both in a single project (self-hosted) and in all at once (enterprise). It has become easier to search for the necessary sections of code, which is especially important for large projects with many thousands of lines.

Among other innovations are low-level import of projects from GitLab via the command line (CLI) for transferring developments and multiple import for transferring a large number of repositories, experimental integration with Kubernetes has been added, the platform is now able to independently create backups via CLI, in self-hosted format, two-factor authentication is forcibly enabled for administrators and users. And this is not all the improvements and refinements of GitFlic 4.0.0.

As the vendor warns, the changes in version 4.0.0 block backward compatibility. Users of the self-hosted edition will receive detailed instructions on how to update along with the distribution.
