IT Purple Conf 2026: Applied Technologies - Ready-Made Solutions for IT Projects

On April 18, 2026, the annual MIPT conference - IT Purple Conf (Purple IT Conference) - will be held at the Technopark of the P. L. Kapitsa Physics and Technology Lyceum (Dolgoprudny). The event is organized by the Phystech School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics (FSAMI) of MIPT. Its key idea is to connect fundamental research with applied developments in the IT field.

The organizers are focusing on formats that allow you to immediately apply the knowledge gained. The program includes five parallel tracks:

  • artificial intelligence;
  • mathematics;
  • development;
  • career in IT;
  • education.

This approach meets the needs of the industry: businesses need specialists who not only understand the theory, but also know how to solve real problems.

The program combines strategic discussions and practical sessions:

  • Panel discussion "Guests from the Future: How AI is Changing Our Lives." Artificial intelligence has ceased to be a fantasy and has become a new reality, changing everything from medicine to the perception of creativity. At the panel discussion, experts will discuss whether we are threatened with intellectual "dumbing down", how neural networks are transforming the labor market, and what will happen to classical education. Join us to understand the issues of ethics and inequality in the age of algorithms and get a step-by-step plan for adapting to the world of the future.
  • Workshops with an applied focus:
  • "Machine Vision. Autonomous Robotics" — at the master class, participants will learn the basics of machine vision and learn how robots can "see" the world around them using cameras and sensors;
  • "What's Inside a Microprocessor" — the master class program is based on an in-depth study of computer science, allowing participants to understand how computers process information at the level of electrical signals;
  • other master classes.
  • Career block. The format is aimed not only at job seekers, but also at employers:
  • express resume analysis — a chance to see which skills are currently most in demand;
  • training interviews — an opportunity to test HR approaches and assess typical candidate mistakes;
  • consultations with HR specialists from the industry and MIPT — a dialogue about trends in the labor market.
  • Exhibition of IT industry leaders. A platform for getting acquainted with the solutions of partner companies and finding potential collaborations.
  • Networking. More than 50 speakers — from scientists with world-renowned names to practitioners who have launched their own products — create an environment for exchanging experiences. For startups and small businesses, this is a chance to find mentors or partners, for large companies, to track emerging trends.

The conference is designed for a wide audience, and its benefits can be seen for different groups of participants:

  • Startups and entrepreneurs will be able to get feedback from experts, find like-minded people and potential customers. The exhibition and networking will help to present ideas without large marketing costs.
  • Large companies (among the event's partners are SBER as a gold partner and Avito as a silver partner) will gain access to the expert community and platforms for dialogue with future personnel. Participation in master classes will allow employees to update their competencies without taking time off from work.
  • Developers and engineers will gain access to tools that can be implemented in current projects. Analysis of real cases will reduce the time spent searching for solutions.
  • Educational institutions will be able to adapt programs to the needs of the industry, and teachers will be able to establish contacts with companies for joint research.

The event will be held on April 18, 2026 in Dolgoprudny (Moscow region, Letnaya street, 2, Technopark of the P. L. Kapitsa Physics and Technology Lyceum). Participation is free, subject to prior registration on the website.

The opening will be led by Dmitry Viktorovich Livanov, Rector of MIPT, among the key participants will be Andrey Mikhailovich Raigorodsky, Director of FSAMI MIPT, mathematician and popularizer of science.
