The Federal Tax Service reported the legalization of more than 5.5 thousand miners. The agency emphasized that legal entities and individual entrepreneurs can engage in digital currency mining after being included in a special registry. To do this, you need to submit an application through the "Mining Registry" service on the tax service website.
Currently, the registry includes over 1.5 thousand companies and individual entrepreneurs, and another 4 thousand individuals not registered as individual entrepreneurs can engage in mining without being included in the registry. For the latter, a condition applies: electricity consumption should not exceed 6000 kWh per month. All miners must submit monthly reports on mined digital assets through their personal account on the FTS website.
The FTS also reminds that the legal regulation of mining is established by federal laws No. 221-FZ and No. 349-FZ of 2024.
