Versions for Windows, macOS and Linux are included in the Ministry of Digital Development's register.
The Yandex team has registered a desktop version of the Yandex Documents office suite in the register of Russian software, which is currently being prepared for release. This was initially noted by CNews. As can be seen on the Ministry of Digital Development's website, Yandex LLC employees have entered the Yandex Documents application in versions for PCs with operating systems Windows, macOS andLinux, they include an office suite with spreadsheet and text editors.
The Yandex 360 press service, which is developing the suite, commented on the message as follows:
In the first quarter of 2026, desktop applications for Documents and Tables for Windows, macOS and Linux will be released, which will be compatible with MS Office and will cope even with complex documents with non-standard formatting. At the start, users will have access to editing, commenting and reviewing functions, and later synchronization with the cloud will appear. The desktop version will be developed synchronously with the web version. The documents are created on the basis of Yandex's own technological platform.
As a reminder, in October 2025, the upcoming release of on-premises versions of the main Yandex 360 virtual office services was also announced at the Yandex Connect conference - companies will be able to deploy them on their own infrastructure. As reported then, Documents and Disk are undergoing pilot testing, and will be open to all clients in early 2026. By the end of 2026, a total of 11 Yandex 360 services will be available on-premises: in addition to Boards, Disk, Documents and Browser for organizations, Messenger, Telemost, Mail, Calendar, Tracker, Wiki and Forms will be added.
