The "BIOTECH: New Horizons" Award Announced the Names of the Best Who Are Making the Future of Biotechnology a Reality

The first "BIOTECH: New Horizons" award ceremony took place in the capital of Uzbekistan. The ceremony became the central event of the "Time of Innovation" forum and a signal to the entire industry: biotechnology has finally moved from laboratories to the real economy, forming new markets and responding to global challenges.

In response to these global changes, the "BIOTECH: New Horizons" award was established to catalyze the development of the industry, recognize the most promising developments, and unite the scientific community and business around common strategic goals. The award ceremony took place on December 12 in Tashkent, emphasizing the international nature of the initiative and its focus on broad involvement of participants from different regions.

The results of the award clearly demonstrated that biotechnology is no longer the future, but the present. Among the projects recognized are both recognized market leaders and ambitious startups whose solutions address the most pressing challenges of our time.

Special attention was paid to achievements in pharmaceuticals and the development of medicines. Companies whose innovations are opening new horizons in this area were recognized. The laureates were: Generium, R-Pharm, "VIZUS LAB", ONBU.

Equally significant was the block of bioprocessing and waste management, which presented technologies that translate the concept of a circular economy from theory into practice, as well as advanced agrobiotechnologies. These developments make it possible not only to reduce the environmental footprint, but also to create valuable resources from waste. In this category, the winners were: "EcoResourceProcessing", IMAGO ENGINEERING, "TRASH FOR CASH" and "Natural Resource".

An important aspect of the award was the evaluation of projects that form the infrastructure for expert dialogue in medicine and other high-tech industries. Among the laureates recognized for this contribution is Skillmed.

Following the event, the organizing committee of the award emphasized: "The first award confirmed how timely and in demand this step was. We see how the projects of our laureates respond to the most important public needs - from human health to food security. This award is not only a recognition of merit, but also a powerful tool for creating an ecosystem where science meets business to generate practical solutions. The synergy and business connections established here are exactly the result for which we launched the award, and it opens up new horizons for all participants."

In the run-up to the award ceremony, the "Time of Innovation" forum was held, the central theme of which was technological sovereignty as the basis of competitiveness. Special attention in the program of the event was paid to the development of medical and biotechnological projects within the framework of the special track "Biotech: New Horizons", which was held with the support of "Soyuz VOIR". Participants discussed the prospects of the industry and got acquainted with key issues - from strategic discussions to the analysis of practical solutions.

The forum confirmed that biotechnology is ceasing to be a highly specialized field. Today, it is a driver of transformation of entire industries - from medicine to agriculture, from industry to urban management. And the "BIOTECH: New Horizons" award is becoming an important platform that accelerates this process, connecting ideas, resources and ambitions.
