The new version 18.0 provides increased system performance and scalability, protection of new data sources, protection against ransomware in import-independent infrastructures, support for tape storage, and includes an introductory MVP version of the new media server.

In the new version of "Cyber Backup", the maximum number of mailboxes that can be protected by a single instance of the management server has increased to 60 thousand, and the number of virtual machines - up to 20 thousand.

Now the solution supports Linux-based operating systems with kernel versions up to 6.14. In addition, the agent for Linux OS now includes an active ransomware protection module based on AI, trained to recognize typical patterns of malicious software actions.

In the new version, the Proxmox VE platform and the virtualization system based on it, "Alt Virtualization", have been added to the list of virtualization systems supported at the hypervisor level. Support for hardware snapshots of virtual machines using data storage systems has been expanded. In version 18.0, the list of such systems was supplemented by the domestic storage system Yadro Tatlin.Unified in the scenario of placing virtual machines under the control of the VMware virtualization platform. The first version of the new multi-threaded full backup mode for PostgreSQL instances and DBMS based on it has been implemented.

Integration with Mailion from "MyOffice" has been added. Also, for familiarization, an MVP version of the new "Cyber Mediaserver" media server was added to the installation package, which is designed to replace the "Storage Node" as it develops.
