It is planned to provide easy installation of applications, as on Android.
The Russian developer of infrastructure software, Astra Group, and the RuStore team have signed a cooperation agreement at the Kazan Digital Week international forum.
The companies are starting to develop an application manager for mobile devices running the Astra Linux operating system. It is planned that the new product will provide users with the familiar experience of installing and updating software, similar to working with other application stores on mobile devices.
In continuation of the cooperation, the parties are discussing the development of an application catalog for workstations running Astra Linux. The solution will focus on the needs of government organizations, corporations and private companies.
Mikhail Gellerman, Director of Operating Systems Management at Astra Group, said:
The application manager based on RuStore will allow you to conveniently install, update or delete programs on tablets running Astra Linux. Cooperation with RuStore is an important step towards IT sovereignty and increasing the attractiveness of the Astra Linux operating system for customers in both the public sector and the private business segment, for whom information security and the safety of customer data are of particular importance.
