SourceCraft will provide important open-source projects with grants for a year for Yandex Cloud cloud technologies in the amount of 600 thousand rubles.
Key evaluation criteria include: repository activity, relevance and practical benefit of the project, and a clear development vector. You can submit an application from August 16. Yandex experts will evaluate the projects. The position in the overall ranking on the SourceCraft platform will also be taken into account.
An expanded system of repository ratings and individual awards has also become available. Now the rating of repositories will be formed not only on the basis of the number of votes cast for them, but also taking into account the degree of user approval.
The system of individual awards for developers automatically tracks user activity — from publishing changes in code and release releases to code reviews and participation in discussions — and awards prizes for achievements. Achievements are divided into the categories "Working with Code", "Contribution to the Community", "Mastering Tools", "Verified Experience". All awards are visible in the developer's profile. Visualizations of awards are created using YandexART diffusion models.
On August 16, simultaneously with the launch of the grant program, a project competition starts on SourceCraft. The authors of new repositories that have gained the highest rating until August 31 will receive exclusive souvenirs.
