On June 25, the results of the annual "Best ESG Projects of Russia" Program were summed up in Moscow. The program identified the best sustainable development practices in Russian business. The winners presented projects aimed at reducing the environmental footprint and increasing social responsibility.
One of the key moments of the event was the Forum "Three Pillars of the National Agenda", where representatives of business, state regulators and development institutions discussed barriers to a sustainable economy. During the sessions, current challenges were identified and concrete proposals were formulated to accelerate change. The demand for professional solutions in the ESG sphere is high, and the joint work of all stakeholders is a way to make sustainable development a daily practice.
The day ended with the award ceremony for the laureates of the "Best ESG Projects of Russia" Program. According to the expert council of the Program, the best were: State Corporation "Rosatom", SBER, MOSINZHPROEKT, MMC "Norilsk Nickel", AstraZeneca, MONOCHROME, Technopolis Moscow, MTS, "Rosseti Scientific and Technical Center", the retail chain "Pyaterochka", Ak Bars Bank, Svetogorsk Pulp and Paper Mill, the brand "Vkusno - i tochka", Higher School of Business of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, "Polyus", GC "Rosvodokanal", LUKOIL, IC "Rosgosstrakh Life".
"The victory of our decarbonization project, with an emphasis on electric vehicles in business processes, is an important incentive for ESG transformation. I am sure the award will become a driver for the ESG agenda in Russia," said the head of labor protection, health and sustainable development Irina Ashrapova, AstraZeneca.
The expert council of the Program includes representatives of business, state and public structures, including: CCI of the Russian Federation, Business Russia, National Research University Higher School of Economics, Agency for Strategic Initiatives, OPORA RUSSIA, MGIMO, JSC "Expert RA".
