According to the company, this step will reduce the average parcel delivery time by 13%, and will also allow customers to receive their cargo faster, without waiting for the first working day of the week. Previously, the delivery calculation was based on working days.
According to the press service, CDEK became the first logistics company in Russia, which, along with global industry leaders, introduced a similar system for calculating delivery times. This practice is used in such giants as Amazon, FedEx and DHL.
The transition to a new system for calculating delivery times, focused on calendar days, was introduced in stages and began in 2024 with tariffs for B2C clients, and is now extended to all services, including economy and express shipments.
This transition, in addition to increasing delivery speed and customer loyalty, will reduce the operational load on pick-up points and couriers on Mondays. After all, delivery on working days implies a very strong decrease in activity on weekends, and therefore the accumulation of cargo in the warehouse while waiting for working days.
