Open Mobile Platform has updated the unified corporate device management platform based on various OSs, "Aurora Center." The ability to update to "Aurora Center" 5.2.0 is available from versions 4.1.0, 5.0.0, and 5.1.0.
According to the company, the main changes concern the management of PCs on Russian Linux distributions, Android devices, and support for the 5th generation of "Aurora" OS has also been added. Thus, the new version includes push notifications for Android applications through its own service, independent of external providers. For devices running "Aurora" OS, the ability to configure a mobile access point for APN data transfer and NFC management has been added.
In addition, "Aurora Center" administrators will be able to authenticate using an account from Microsoft Active Directory. Integration of the platform with a GIT repository has also been added for receiving files and scripts, taking into account file versions, file hash verification is available before installing the application and executing the script, displaying all applications installed on the PC by users, delivering SNAP, Flatpak, appimage packages to the PC, and the possibility of secure connection to external corporate repositories.
As a reminder, the "Aurora Center" platform allows administrators to put devices into operation, assign policies and configurations to devices and groups of devices, and install applications on mobile devices without user intervention. Platform users can also remotely run scripts, monitor the status of equipment in real time and automatically respond when deviations from the required state are detected, and quickly block devices and delete data from them, even when the device is outside the network.
