The service was previously in the testing phase, with users admitted by application. Now any company can access Yandex BareMetal on the platform's website.
Companies will be able to integrate rented servers with the provider's cloud environment. As Yandex explained, this will allow them to work with different infrastructures in a single computing environment in order to test and develop digital products faster.
As part of the public preview, the service can be used via API, which should simplify the integration of Yandex BareMetal with the company's business applications. For secure access to the service, access rights to the server can be granularly distributed among employees.
According to a Yandex Cloud study, 59% of Russian companies have started using physical server rental (BareMetal) services in the last 1.5 years. Most often, such technologies are used for data storage and processing, own virtualizations, as well as for hosting business applications and back office tasks.
