RuPost (part of the Astra Group) announces an important update to its corporate mail server, RuPost, which implements a wide range of new features to improve the efficiency of both users and administrators.

Key Innovations in RuPost 3.2.0

One of the most significant improvements is the introduction of support for attachments in calendar events. Users can now attach documents directly to events in the web client calendar. Additionally, administrators have gained the ability to centrally control documents in the corporate calendar thanks to the new application storage system.

Another important innovation is dynamic shared mailboxes, which allow groups of users to jointly manage mail accounts. The function is implemented through the "Control Panel." Access to the shared mailbox is updated automatically based on filters, including LDAP support.

Automatic Archiving and Advanced Administration Tools

The updated version of RuPost implements automatic mail archiving. Now users can automatically move emails, created before a specified period, to the "Archive" folder. Archiving policies are configured by the administrator, reducing the load on the system and providing convenient management of correspondence history.

The update also includes the mail-trace tool, which provides detailed information about the status of sent messages. The command-line capabilities have been significantly expanded: now administrators can perform operations with mailboxes (creation, deletion, modification, restoration, archiving) via CLI, which speeds up the execution of routine tasks and improves system management efficiency.

Integration with RuBackup and Improved Fault Tolerance Mechanisms

One of the most anticipated updates is the integration with the RuBackup backup system version 2.4 and higher. This function allows you to quickly restore mail server data via the command line, increasing the security and reliability of the mail system.

Additionally, replication, time synchronization, and system update mechanisms have been optimized, which helps to increase the service's fault tolerance. Improved monitoring tools allow administrators to promptly detect and eliminate potential problems, reducing the risk of downtime.

Improved Security and System Operation Control

RuPost 3.2.0 introduces advanced security settings, including:

· Sending settings from trusted IP addresses,

· Restrictions on the number of recipients and frequency of sending emails,

· Improved email recall mechanism, speeding up the processing of large volumes of correspondence.

The update also includes improved logging – system logs and audit logs are now separated, which simplifies control over user actions and analysis of security incidents.
