Sber has completed the transition to the Russian privileged access management system BI.ZONE PAM, abandoning foreign counterparts. This decision meets the requirements of regulators regarding the import substitution of critical technologies.

The key advantage of BI.ZONE PAM is its scalable architecture, which allows the system to be integrated into the bank's entire digital infrastructure. This ensures ease of use for thousands of Sber IT specialists, including DevOps, SRE engineers, and administrators, who now require less time and fewer actions to connect to critical systems. In addition, authentication and access control processes have been significantly improved.

The transition to the new solution was carefully planned. Experts from Sber and BI.ZONE jointly developed a phased implementation roadmap, which allowed the migration to be carried out without failures or loss of functionality. Currently, the process of transferring all functions to BI.ZONE PAM is proceeding according to schedule.

BI.ZONE PAM provides reliable protection of the IT infrastructure by:

· Secure storage of privileged accounts;

· Automatic password rotation and control of elevated user rights;

· Monitoring employee activity and data transfer to SIEM;

· A mechanism for verifying the grounds for obtaining access to critical systems.

The solution fully complies with the requirements of regulators, has a certificate from the FSTEC of Russia, and operates on the Linux technology stack, as well as being compatible with leading Russian distributions.
