Event by Newland, one of the fastest-growing AIDC manufacturers in the world. At the online meeting, we discussed the development and prospects of the scanning market. The program included: What was, is, and will be: price list; assortment; availability; warranty and support. Overview of available Newland solutions, their technical characteristics, and applications: terminals, wearable solutions, and micro-kiosks; wired and wireless scanners; mountable scanners and OEM modules.

Not so long ago, a decision was made to transfer us from the European headquarters to the Chinese headquarters, that is, to the parent company. Now we are a subsidiary of the main central office in China.

Europe stopped deliveries, technical support service, and all preliminary obligations ceased to be carried out in our office, we were completely transferred to the Chinese track. We are now, naturally, want to stay in our jobs. We are in the same office, with the same spare parts, with the same demo equipment. Our representative office is currently being registered. So, now we are, of course, interested in ensuring that customers and partners do not notice anything, we work as before.

As part of our new subordination, we went to China, looked at the Newland offices, which are very similar to many of our competitors, which have many different businesses, only one of which is related to barcodes.

At the top, in the middle, is our barcode division. This is our demo room for receiving guests, for demonstrating products. And at the bottom, slightly to the left, is the demonstration hall of the entire company. It features payment systems, telephones, and various systems for tracking and migrating farm animals, etc. We are a small part of a large company that successfully operates in China. Now about what happened to our office.

Firstly, it is clear that Europe worked through its bank account and, of course, left a small amount of money for carrying out its commercial activities. Therefore, the price list that the distributor OCS currently has has become more humane from a price point of view. The price list has essentially remained with the same items. We have only introduced the newest items there. About spare parts: in principle, their delivery has never been difficult. Any distributor has the right to order spare parts. If the case is recognized as a warranty case, it is free of charge; if it is not a warranty case, there is a price list for spare parts and you can easily order the ones you need. Of course, we sell them for the repair of a specific partner. Therefore, you must register in the warranty case. This can be done either through a distributor or directly in our office. We have service engineers for technical support.

The assortment has changed a little, because there were European goods in the price list, for example, some covers, accessories were of European production, we are now looking for a replacement for them, or it will be done on the basis of Chinese production.

The main problem is the long payment term. But nevertheless, you just need to plan that if the equipment is not in stock in Russia, then you should expect 6-8 weeks of waiting. There are obvious problems with this now.

This slide shows what runs on Android and somehow interacts with it. That is, Newland is one of the few vendors that knows how to produce a variety of equipment. We have scanners, we have micro-kiosks, we have a lot of Android devices. All of this is based on our own barcodes. We have our own technology, our own software, our own scanners, we make the entire production line entirely with our own enterprises.

We have MT90 - this is the basic model. We are, of course, thinking about the future and have started to produce a thinner, flatter, more modern model with high characteristics, with more serious protection.

We have the next step, this is the MT-93 model, advanced, but not the most top-end. And there is an absolutely top-end model, in general, like in the line of any mobile phone manufacturer, there is the largest screen, the most powerful processor, the flattest battery - this is the MT-95 model. But, as a result, it turned out to be quite an expensive device for Russia. Where high characteristics are mandatory conditions in the project, this model can be offered.

This slide highlights the features compared to other models, and each model has its own features. I would focus now for all new projects on MT-93, on a modern and well-designed model. It will have even more interesting modifications.

For MT-9X you can buy one cradle and power it with a standard cable. But if there are 4 terminals, 4 sockets, 4 adapters, 4 wires - this is completely inconvenient. Therefore, for each standard cradle, you can pull out a special small adapter and plug them into each other. Thus forming a chain in the cradles. For each model there is a set of accessories and they are quite cheap compared to competitors.

If you have a courier delivery of some products, it doesn't matter what, then you probably will be more effective to use MT-90. They are cheaper and, indeed, more convenient to use.

Therefore, pay attention that depending on the tasks, you can choose an interesting model.

Terminals with a keyboard. We had MT-65, it is still available, it is still not difficult to order it, but again there is a lighter, thinner, modern MT-67, which we are focusing on as a budget solution for small shops, for warehouses at the store. That is, it is not suitable for large warehouse terminals, but it is quite suitable for stores.

N7 is our main terminal for warehouse solutions. We now have Android 11 and Android 13 will be available soon. It is quite possible that the processor will change. The same case will remain and there will be a shift towards high technology.

In this model, we had a not very convenient keyboard. As you can see, the buttons at the top are functional, various FN, MP, SK. That is, the buttons that control the terminal, but they are not arrows for moving through the menu items. That is, the standard right-up, left-up-down arrows are not in those places. That is, the first version of the keyboard is good for China, but not for Russia. Therefore, we have long asked Europe to listen to us, but they reacted very sluggishly to our requests. Now there is a very convenient synergy with our Chinese office. They said, since you have a large customer, since you need it, we will make you a keyboard that meets the customer's requirements. This is just one example of the fact that with our connection to China, there are not only difficulties with payment in yuan and other things, but still there are positive shifts in the quality of additional opportunities.

The N7 terminal is heavier, more complex, with higher technologies. All versions are absolutely identical, which means they only differ in the scanner. There is a scanner of standard range, cheaper, and there is a scanner, as it is called DUO, which can scan both near and far: from 15-20 cm to 5 meters. Its head has two cameras, first the near camera turns on, the near backlight, then the brightness increases sharply and the long-range scanner turns on, so you can scan both near and far objects. The standard is the device that is presented on the screen, it is 29 keys, but there are 38, 47 keys.

Fast Roaming is implemented here, Hot-swap is implemented here, fast charging is implemented here, both for the entire device through a standard power adapter and for fast charging of batteries.

Two customized extensions have recently appeared. The first is the so-called Cold Storage, it differs from the standard model with a special battery that can be recharged, it is less susceptible to cold. And the second modification is that in Cold Storage there is heating of the scanner window.

There is also an order for a version with DPM, it is presented in the photo in the oval on the right. The model with DPM is a healthy head that is able to read markings, for example, with laser engraving, metal on metal.

Wearable terminals. Always pay attention to new models of terminals. Old ones are sold, you can still order them, but if you have an old customer who has always bought one model of terminals from you, switching him to a new one may not make much sense.

NQuire is a new generation, that is, we have completely abandoned the old NQuire.

Externally, this is almost imperceptible, but the old micro-kiosks were on a Rockchip processor. It is octa-core, you can run very good video on it. But there was still an old Android 7, there was less memory, there were listed all the shortcomings that we wanted to eliminate. Therefore, we decided at some point to take the MTK processor, the same Mediatek that we used on all our terminals, and make a normal terminal with a large screen on Android 13, but without a battery. Therefore, there are all the features that are included in the standard terminal package. In Mediatek, we added Google GMS Services there, that is, there is immediately YouTube, Chrome and other Google services, which is very important for many customer applications. This is a standard terminal in terms of configuration, with Wi-Fi, with power via Ethernet, on a new processor. Therefore, this is a completely new device. At the same time, all the old applications, all the settings that were on the previous conquest of these micro-kiosks are preserved there. We produce a model range of 4 micro-kiosks. Absolutely the same platform, different screens 5, 7, 10 and 15 inches. All touch panels, all via Ethernet, all can control code-locking locks.

They all have a bright screen for working in bright sunlight. All have the ability to turn on a special mode for working in gloves, in wet gloves, with wet hands. That is, they have increased sensitivity, and the touch panel is made using a special technology specifically for this.

What do these terminals have in common? Megapixel scanners of our own production, code reading strictly in the center of the sight, patented UIMG technology, which allows you to better read poorly printed and low-contrast codes.

Now wearable solutions. There were no special new products here. We made another upgrade of the Android terminal in the form of a watch, it is called WD-1. There is now 13th Android, there is now a contact pad for charging without leads. There is a ring on the finger, two scanners on the neck or in the pocket and a glove scanner.

The ring scanner is small, not for intensive scanning. The model range of wearable devices is very interesting. We, of course, offer a larger terminal in the form of a watch, so that there are buttons, that is, everything to catch up and overtake competitors.

Next is the model range of scanners. We naturally produce new models of scanners, the old ones also continue to be produced, but some are simply illogical to produce, because they do not have obvious advantages. They have been replaced by HR2000 - standard resolution, HR3000 - megapixel resolution. The characteristics are very simple 640 by 480 and 1280 by 800, respectively. The sight in one case is a budget red dot, in the other - a laser cross. Well, you see that 1D and 2D barcodes read everything.
