T2 Launches VoWiFi Technology in Moscow and St. Petersburg
Russian operator T2 has expanded the coverage area of Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) technology to Moscow and St. Petersburg. This solution allows subscribers to make calls over Wi-Fi in areas with poor mobile coverage: in basements, high-rise buildings, shopping centers, and abroad. Previously, the service was available in the Tambov region and the Stavropol Territory, and now covers more than 33 million people. In the coming months, VoWiFi will appear in all regions of the operator's presence.
