Russian developer SBK has introduced a new version of the unified communications platform CommuniGate Pro 6.5.6. The release features an updated web interface, MAPI connector for Windows, and calendar functionality.
The web interface now allows creating calendar events directly from an email. When adding recipients, the system automatically suggests contacts from internal and external directories. Users can also share calendars, including via a public link, change the interface language, configure delivery and read receipts, and create rules for processing incoming correspondence.
Additionally, the developers added a QR code and a link for TOTP setup on the login page, expanded options for managing the sidebar, and displaying folder information.
For corporate users, the MAPI connector has been improved. The release includes an MSI package for 64-bit Windows, which can be centrally deployed via Group Policies. It also introduces the ability to recall sent emails and group messages into conversations.
The developers paid special attention to the stability of calendars and recurring events. These changes continue the work started in the previous platform release.
