The solution is designed to ensure transparency in drone use for government agencies, which will be an additional tool to ease flight restrictions.
GC "Element" and JSC "GLONASS" presented a Russian platform for identifying unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). The solution, built on domestic electronic component base and cryptographic protection tools, will ensure secure transmission of drone identification data within the unified "ERA-GLONASS" system. Further integration with the "Zvezda" hardware and software complex, developed by the Research Institute of Molecular Electronics and JSC "GLONASS", is planned.
The key element of the complex is the NE51IOT microchip of KS3 class, which meets the requirements for electronic signature tools and cryptographic information protection (SKZI-NR). This will allow creating a virtual secure data transmission channel between devices and the control server, ensuring data integrity control and information authenticity confirmation.
Alexey Raykevich, CEO of JSC "GLONASS", emphasized that the platform will increase the safety and convenience of UAS use, accelerating the development of civilian unmanned aviation in Russia. The solution complies with the requirements of Russian Government Decree No. 1701 of November 30, 2024, which mandates equipping aircraft with remote identification equipment.
