The new version implements a built-in macro development environment in Python, allowing you to create and debug macros directly in the application. Macros can be saved on a computer or inside files in the GOST R ISO/IEC 26300-2010 format, which simplifies their transfer.
The context menu interface has been supplemented with new commands for quick access to text formatting functions and working with tables and images. The interface for working with the file system has been improved, and access to favorite directories and network folders has been accelerated.
The print quality of tables with text rotation has been improved, and crashes when using assistive technologies and the on-screen keyboard have been fixed. Support for named ranges from Excel and removing protection from .docx documents has been added.
As the developers emphasized, «AlterOffice 2026» retains its focus on import substitution and compatibility with Russian operating systems.
