Aktiv has expanded its product range with new Guardant Sign and Guardant Code hardware keys featuring a USB Type-C interface. As the press service explained, the devices retain all the functions of the classic models but differ in form factor and compact size.
The keys are equipped with a USB Type-C connector, which ensures compatibility with modern equipment such as laptops, tablets, and mini PCs, where USB Type-A ports are gradually becoming rare. In addition, the keys have reduced dimensions of 29.5 x 13 x 6 mm and weigh 3 g instead of 47 x 16 x 8 mm and 5 g for the classic USB Type-A models.
At the same time, in terms of cryptographic protection algorithms and functionality, Guardant Sign Type-C and Guardant Code Type-C are completely identical to their predecessors.
The new devices are aimed at mobile workstations, industrial tablets and terminals, medical and scientific equipment, as well as Apple devices.
