Experts from the Russian company Smart Engines have transferred artificial intelligence technologies to Max for scanning text in photos and images.
According to the company, the development allows you to recognize printed and handwritten text in seconds, regardless of the font, and also read inscriptions and notes from any paper and electronic media.
The solution is integrated into Max mini-applications and works in the mobile, desktop and web versions of the messenger. Among the features of the technology are support for handwritten text recognition, fast scanning and local operation without connecting to the network and data transfer. With the help of the system, users can automate work with documents, digitize text for copying, searching, translating and editing, as well as fill electronic archives.
The technology is available for more than 100 languages of the world, including Latin, Cyrillic, Armenian and Greek alphabets, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and others. Full-text recognition is integrated into the Max OCR module.
Previously, Smart Engines adapted passport, QR code and bank card scanning technologies to the Russian platform. The module works in Max mini-applications and other messengers, as well as on web pages.
