Alexey Chernetsov has been appointed CEO of VTB Mobile, effective April 1. He joins from PJSC Rostelecom. He will be responsible for developing and strengthening VTB's position in the mobile communications and digital services market.

The top manager's key tasks will be to develop convergent products, increase the penetration of mobile communications into the bank's products, develop the VTB ecosystem as part of the implementation of the new bank strategy, as well as promote VTB Mobile to VTB clients and partners.

Today, it is possible to become a VTB Mobile subscriber in more than 20 regions of the Russian Federation. During the current year, the mobile operator plans to double the number of regions of presence. In April, residents of KhMAO, YANAO, the Republic of Karelia, Primorsky Krai, Yaroslavl, Vologda and Murmansk regions will be able to connect to the mobile operator.

The VTB Mobile mobile operator was launched in September 2019 in partnership with Tele2. Today, customers have access to payment of up to 100% of services with bonuses from the VTB loyalty program, a single tariff throughout the country, unlimited calls within the network. For clients receiving a pension at VTB, a discount of up to 50% on communication services is valid for two years. In addition, for this category of subscribers, VTB Mobile offers a joint product with the Puls insurance company, which expands social guarantees: a free policy against injuries and disability with insurance coverage of 100 thousand rubles, valid throughout Russia. For self-employed bank clients, there is also a 50% discount on communication services for one year.

Alexey Chernetsov was born on November 29, 1977 in Leningrad. He began his career in 1999 in the Telekominvest group of companies (St. Petersburg), where he was involved in the development of IT and Internet technologies. From 2005 to 2008, he was the director of the Moscow representative office of the Zed Group content provider (Spain). From 2008, he was involved in partnership projects at Mail.Ru Group and was responsible for the regional development of operators in the Svyazinvest group of companies. From 2011, he worked at PJSC MegaFon, where he was responsible for the implementation of MVNO projects in the corporate business development unit. In 2016, he was invited to PJSC Rostelecom, where he created a mobile operator (MVNO) for the mass and corporate segments of the company.
