Almost half of the surveyed customers plan to purchase servers (25%) and data storage systems (DSS, 21%) before the end of 2023. The remaining purchases will be distributed among monoblocks (17%), PCs (16%), laptops (11%) and tablets (10%), according to a survey conducted by the Aquarius Group as part of its own conference AQ PRO.TIME. More than 305 companies from 16 industries took part in the survey.
Representatives of the scientific field (42%) and the financial sector (30%) mainly spoke about the purchase of servers. This request is due to the growth in the amount of processed information. Financial organizations (26%) and oil and gas companies (24%) will purchase DSS before the end of the year. At the same time, more than a third of respondents report that this year's budget will remain at the level of the 2022 budget.
"As the demand for Russian equipment grows, so do production capacities in the country. This was influenced, among other things, by the policy of protectionism on the part of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and active support for Russian manufacturers. The answers of our customers clearly indicate a strategy of optimization in the corporate infrastructure: the use of DSS together with servers allows optimizing physical space and reducing technical areas," the press service of Aquarius Group explained.
The largest increase in budget expenditures was announced by companies in the construction and housing and communal services segment, as well as the financial sector and industry - most of them are ready for an increase in the amount of expenses by 20% by the end of the year. Most of the respondents from other industries expect the budget to remain at the level of 2022. Budget cuts will affect a number of state-owned enterprises, as well as companies from the trade sector.
