В платформе администрирования СУБД Tantor 3.1 появились локализация интерфейса и другие нововведения

Among the important changes is the appearance of tools for interface localization and integration with Microsoft Active Directory.

Tantor Labs (part of the Astra Group) announces the release of a new version of the modular DBMS administration and monitoring platform based on PostgreSQL Tantor 3.1

This is a minor release, released a month after the global update of Tantor 3.0, the key innovation of which was the support of Patroni clusters, which allows providing a high level of availability and automatic management of PostgreSQL databases. In the new version, the developers simplified the installation process of the agent for the Patroni instance, and also added a Switchover master server switch button to the menu, which is responsible for switching the "master" role from one cluster node to another. If there is a synchronous database replica, the Switchover operation can only be performed with it, otherwise the data can be transferred to any available replica.

A PAUSE/MAINTENANCE button has appeared in the cluster menu. With its help, you can pause the cluster for maintenance. This must be done regularly to optimize its performance, increase availability, reduce downtime, and reduce maintenance costs. By pressing the same button again, the pause mode is turned off and the cluster is restarted.

Also, Tantor 3.1 implements Microsoft Active Directory integration. Now, through this directory service, you can create user groups and use its external menu for authentication.

In addition, in Tantor 3.1, the developers took a serious step in localizing the interface by adding the i18n transloco library. This is a set of convenient tools for selecting the language of applications and other settings related to their localization.

«It has been just over a month since the release of the major release of the Tantor platform, and we are pleased to present our customers and partners with an update in which we have implemented a number of new features and improved the existing functionality. I am sure that the operation of the database under the control of Tantor 3.1 will become more productive and reliable, and the new tools for interface localization and integration with Microsoft Active Directory will arouse interest and attract new users», – said Vadim Yatsenko, CEO of Tantor Labs.
