Sber is expanding its Sber smart home device lineup. Customers now have access to an updated Wi-Fi socket with overvoltage protection, as well as a completely new Zigbee lineup: a control hub, a scene button, and motion, opening, temperature, and humidity sensors. All devices operate on the fully Russian Sber smart home cloud platform, which is included in the register of domestic software. The development of new devices is handled by SberDevices (SalutDevices LLC), a partner company.

More Scenarios and Automation Possibilities

With the advent of sensors, the Sber smart home has acquired "senses" and can now take on more routine tasks. Users now have access to various automation scenarios that can eliminate daily chores such as climate control, turning on and off household appliances and lighting — with the new sensors, everything will work automatically, and the user will be able to feel more comfortable and confident.

The new lineup includes a smart button, motion, opening, temperature, and humidity sensors with Zigbee 3.0 protocol support. This is a modern wireless protocol for communication between smart home devices. Sensors operating on the Zigbee protocol consume little energy, so they can operate for several years without replacing the battery. Since they do not need power from the mains, such devices can be placed in any convenient location using a simple self-adhesive mount.

To connect the sensors to the smart home platform, you need a Sber control hub. It can also control compatible Zigbee devices from Aqara and Sonoff, which gives users even more opportunities to create a variety of scenarios.

To Make Simple Devices Smart

The updated Sber Wi-Fi socket makes connected devices smart, allowing not only to control them remotely, but also to link their operation with other smart devices, sensors, or events. For example, you can connect a humidifier to the socket and set up a scenario so that the humidifier automatically turns on when the humidity in the room drops below 30%.

The updated socket, along with comfort, brings safety and peace of mind to the home: it protects connected devices from overvoltage, can control electrical appliances with a power of up to 3680 W (current up to 16A), and the built-in temperature sensor eliminates overheating of the smart socket. If overvoltage protection is triggered, the socket will disconnect the connected electrical appliance, preventing damage, and turn it on again when the voltage returns to normal.

The socket has a stylish minimalist design, it will not spoil the look of a fresh renovation and will fit organically into any interior. Special attention is paid to ergonomics: the socket is so compact that when plugged into a standard extension cord, the housing does not restrict access to adjacent slots.

An important feature of the Sber smart home platform is the accessibility and ease of managing the entire system. Connecting devices to the platform, creating and configuring scenarios, monitoring status, and so on can be done in the Salut mobile application for Android, in the SberBank Online application, and also in the new web application, which, in particular, will solve the problem of managing the Sber smart home from mobile devices on iOS.

Users can still launch ready-made scenarios or control individual elements of the smart home with voice commands from all smart devices with the Salut virtual assistant.
