An OCS study showed which services are becoming particularly in demand among manufacturers and partners

The Russian IT market expects distributors to expand services beyond equipment and software supplies. According to an OCS study, financial support, service maintenance, and technological expertise are becoming the most sought-after areas.

Financial services turned out to be the main request from market participants: more than 22% of partners and 12% of manufacturers are counting on their development. High key interest rates and limited credit availability complicate the implementation of large IT projects. Distributors help companies conduct settlements and attract commercial financing.

Service is becoming the second important area. Every fourth partner considers the availability of technical support when choosing a distributor, and every fifth vendor is interested in service and training. This task becomes especially relevant when working with regional customers — it is necessary to provide spare parts for distributed facilities and reduce repair times.

Demand for multi-vendor expertise is also growing. Customer infrastructure includes solutions from different manufacturers, and import substitution unevenly covers individual segments. Distributors help verify equipment compatibility, integrate new solutions, and support complex projects. The role of such companies in technological interaction was noted by 63% of partners and 37% of vendors.

OCS believes that as IT infrastructures become more complex, the importance of services, expertise, and partner interaction will grow. At the same time, traditional tasks — logistics and supply organization — will retain their importance for market participants.
