Hotels will be able to register guests using a QR code from Max
"Rostelecom" has added to the "Digital Hotel" platform the ability to register guests using a "Digital ID" in the Max messenger. To check in, the guest simply needs to present a QR code, after which their data is transferred to the hotel management system and confirmed via the "Goskan" service.
The new check-in option automatically appears on the already connected platform. The first testing took place in Moscow apart-hotels Intermark Residence and Yes. According to the company, check-in using a smartphone takes up to two minutes.
To use the service, the guest needs to open the "Digital ID" section in Max, select the "Passport" tab, click "Present" and show the QR code with a confirmed photo.
From September 1, 2026, this identification method will become mandatory for Russian hotels with a capacity of 50 rooms or more. At the same time, guests will still be able to register using physical documents.
Booking and guest data received by the "Digital Hotel" PMS system is processed in "Rostelecom's" cloud infrastructure. The solution is designed for accommodation facilities of various scales – from small hotels to large chains.
