RTK-TsOD, a full-cycle IT service provider, presented a corporate AI assistant for organizations with high data protection requirements at the "Digital Solutions" forum. The solution was developed in cooperation with Rostelecom's information technology unit.
The AI assistant helps employees instantly find and analyze information in internal documents and knowledge bases. The product is suitable for large businesses and can operate with thousands of files of various formats, while the data never leaves the organization's perimeter.
The AI assistant's operation is based on RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) technology: upon receiving a natural language query, the system finds relevant fragments in the connected knowledge base and forms an answer, relying only on the provided context. This approach ensures accurate and verifiable results. All processing is performed within the customer's infrastructure, without accessing external APIs or cloud platforms. This makes the solution secure for working with sensitive information, personal data, and restricted access documents.
The intelligent assistant not only finds information but also analyzes data. Upon request, it generates summary reviews of documents, compares versions, checks materials for compliance with a checklist or standard, classifies and groups data, extracts information in tabular form, and prepares a summary. Work with tabular files is implemented separately: the assistant understands the structure of registers, price lists, and calculations and can provide a selection of rows based on a given condition.
For operations and monitoring specialists, there is an option to copy a record from a system log, a set of metrics, an alert text, or the output of a diagnostic command into the assistant's chat. The intelligent assistant will explain the meaning of the event, assess its probable cause, and offer recommendations for response, based on operational regulations and incident analysis history. The dialogue is maintained with context in mind: clarifying questions are processed within the current session, and there is no need to repeat what has already been said.
Security and control issues have been addressed at all levels. The architecture supports multi-tenancy — several departments or clients can work on one installation with full data and configuration separation. A granular role-based access control (RBAC) system allows for differentiation of capabilities down to individual operations, and knowledge bases have access level settings. Each configuration change is recorded in history, and user actions are logged. An built-in queue with a limit on simultaneous requests protects the infrastructure from overloads, and routing simple requests to fast models helps optimize costs.
“The key barrier to the widespread adoption of generative AI in the commercial and public sectors remains the issue of trust in the technology. We see demand for isolated solutions that guarantee the safety of critical data, and for us, as a digital partner of the state and business, it is important to offer options for the safe application of new technologies. The presented assistant is a “private AI” that learns from corporate knowledge, remaining within a protected perimeter. Thanks to this approach, we open access to generative artificial intelligence for a wide range of organizations — from financial institutions to industrial enterprises and government agencies that previously could not use such tools due to strict information protection requirements,” said Roman KHAZEEV, Director for Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence Development at Rostelecom.
“RTK-TsOD, as a full-cycle IT service provider, has a full arsenal of services for business digitalization. Today, effective work is impossible without artificial intelligence technologies, and according to analytical data, the ROI from AI implementation reaches 250%. Our corporate assistant is effective for a wide variety of functions: lawyers instantly find the necessary clauses in contracts, engineers and technical specialists receive accurate answers on specifications and alerts, and financiers get operational selections from budgets. At the same time, security remains our priority: all data processing is carried out within the customer's protected perimeter, and a granular access rights system and full logging ensure reliable control. The participation of Rostelecom's information technology unit in developing the technological framework allowed us to bring the product to a qualitatively new level of reliability and performance. The platform is already ready for deployment on the client's infrastructure and is accompanied by technical support from our side,” said Alexey ZABRODIN, Technical Director of RTK-TsOD
