Users are increasingly using AI for product search and selection

Traffic from "Alisa AI" to Russian e-commerce has increased by 358%, or 4.6 times, since the beginning of 2026. According to Yandex, users are gradually changing their usual product search scenario: instead of independently exploring platforms, they are increasingly turning to artificial intelligence for suitable offers.

Shopping queries account for about 12% of requests to the "Alisa AI" chat. More than 11 million people weekly ask the neural network about products. Most often, these are household appliances, electronics, as well as products for construction and renovation.

Sellers accounting for 17% of the Russian online retail market are already connected to AI-powered sales. Among them are "M.Video", "Rive Gauche", "Santekhnika-Online", "Onlinetrade.ru", Kitfort, and "Askona".

One of the popular scenarios is finding a lower price. The "Find Cheaper" agent compares offers from different stores and marketplaces. On average, users manage to save about 6 thousand rubles on a purchase.

In the future, AI should accompany the entire process - from product selection to order placement and repeat purchase reminders. OpenAI and Amazon are developing similar solutions. Yandex expects that by 2030, AI scenarios will account for about 10% of transactions in the Russian market.
