RuPost, a company within the Astra Group, has released Desktop X version 2.3 with updates for email management. The new version introduces the first stage of local archive support: users can import and export data, as well as open and close archives. Additionally, local search across the entire mailbox has been implemented.

For the RuPost mail server, sending messages on behalf of another user or a shared mailbox is now available. The client also includes a built-in PDF viewer with printing capabilities without launching third-party applications.

Keyboard shortcuts for basic operations speed up email handling. Other changes include a read receipt request, format selection when pasting text from the clipboard, and automatic conversion of email addresses to links when quoting messages.

Changes also affected attachments: their display has become more compact. According to Mikhail Nikitin, Head of Product Expertise at RuPost, the update takes into account user requests and tasks that arise during daily work with corporate email.
