The solution can now check incoming call numbers on Android and block suspicious calls or warn employees about them

Kaspersky Lab has added incoming call control to the extended version of Kaspersky Secure Mobility Management for Android. The new feature is designed to reduce risks associated with fraud, spam, and other unwanted calls on corporate devices.

When a call comes in, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android checks the number against local offline and online databases. Depending on its reputation, the call can be allowed or blocked. Administrators can also configure a user warning instead of automatic blocking.

Rules can be applied to individual call categories, and "black" and "white" lists can be created for specific numbers. In addition, employee devices can be distributed into administrative groups, and custom policies can be set for each. For example, advertising calls can be blocked for most employees while being retained for employees in commercial departments.

Kaspersky Lab notes that phone calls remain one of the tools of social engineering. With their help, attackers try to obtain confidential information or persuade an employee to carry out a financial transaction. An additional problem remains the flow of spam, which distracts employees from their tasks.

Kaspersky Secure Mobility Management is used by organizations for centralized management and protection of corporate mobile devices. Call control has become part of the extended version of the solution.
