Starting from 2027, the OS will receive security updates and critical bug fixes.

The company "Red Soft" announced the extension of the support period for Red OS 7.3 "Standard" and "Certified" editions for another two years. After the end of the main support period, the version will continue to receive limited technical support until December 31, 2028.

From January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2028, restrictions will apply to Red OS 7.3. During this period, the developer plans to release security updates for packages included in the installation image, as well as fix critical errors that may affect the stability and performance of the system.

Standard technical support for certificates purchased before December 31, 2026, will be available until the end of 2027, subject to the established restrictions. Extended support for version 7.3 will remain until the end of 2028, regardless of the certificate purchase date.

To migrate to Red OS 8, "Red Soft" offers the "Red OS Update Wizard," which allows migration without reinstalling the system. The tool is available to users with active technical support upon request to the company's support service.

The extension of support should give organizations additional time to plan and gradually transition to the new version of the operating system.
