The new RuBackup 3.0 version has received a number of major changes aimed at accelerating data backup and recovery, as well as expanding support for corporate IT infrastructure. One of the main innovations was the abandonment of intermediate storage when working with virtual machines, a number of databases, and mail systems. This allows operations to be performed faster, reduces disk space requirements, and simplifies solution deployment.

Developers have also expanded granular recovery capabilities. Now, on most supported platforms, individual files, mailboxes, calendars, and other objects can be restored without full data rollback. The release includes support for new versions of virtualization platforms, mail servers, and DBMS, including Postgres Pro 18, Basis Dynamix Enterprise, and RuPost 4.2.

In addition, new storage types have appeared in the system, the ability to simultaneously save backups to two file pools, improved work with tape libraries, and an updated reporting system. Developers also added diagnostic tools, expanded parameters for configuring backup strategies, and implemented support for disaster recovery of Linux systems hosted on software RAID arrays. At the same time, the upcoming discontinuation of support for a number of outdated modules and platforms in future product versions was announced.
