The first mobile solution with A-GLONASS technology, developed by JSC GLONASS, is being launched on the Russian market. The new product, called GLS-1, is an alternative to A-GPS and significantly reduces the time it takes to determine the location for the first time in dense urban areas. This was reported by the Fplus press service.

The GLS-1 solution was released jointly with the electronics manufacturer Fplus based on the Fplus R570E smartphone. The hardware of the device is made in a protected design, and the Aurora operating system ensures data security. The solution includes the IconNav navigation and monitoring system, which allows you to build routes and navigate them offline without sending data.

Vitaly Derkach, Director of the Sales Department of JSC GLONASS, said:

A-GLONASS allows you to reduce the time of the first location determination by several times: in dense urban areas, smartphones and mobile applications require from tens of seconds to several minutes to receive and process coordinates from global navigation satellite systems.
