The Yandex B2B Tech team has introduced new functionality for SourceCraft Code Assistant — AI skills. Now developers can create and customize skills for their tasks, which allows them to automate routine processes and reduce the time spent on repetitive actions.
The catalog includes skills for typical tasks: code review, report preparation, task markup, and others. Developers can adapt them to their processes or create their own. According to McKinsey estimates, up to 40% of developers' time is spent on routine tasks, which can now be automated with AI skills.
SourceCraft platform manager Dmitry Ivanov explained:
We want the AI agent to eventually become a full-fledged digital colleague: understand the context, work according to the team's rules, and independently complete tasks.
According to Ivanov, in the future, skills will be launched automatically upon certain events, such as creating a task or submitting code for review.
